The company invests in the training of young individuals, preparing them for leadership positions within Bosch through the Junior Managers Program. In this interview, Ramona Bădescu, the program coordinator, explains what the Junior Managers Program is and how you can join the new series of 2025.
What is the Junior Managers Program?
In short, the Junior Managers Program, also known as JMP, is a dedicated program aimed at training and shaping young individuals to eventually take on leadership positions within the Bosch organization.
What contractual formula does the program involve?
When you join the company in a JMP position, you are hired for a full-time, paid position with a non-fixed term contract to carry out your activities. What is different from a standard position is that in a JMP position, activities change depending on the stations where you work.
What are the "stations"?
"Station" or "rotation" is the adopted formula to represent the experience of a JMP who works in a department alongside respective teams. After a period of time, the trainees changes stations. We provide a platform adequate to experience as many areas as possible so that they can have an overview of the business in all its complexity. Throughout the program, they can experience between 4 and 6 stations, one of which will be abroad. If you're wondering who decides where these stations are located, the answer is simple: the JMP colleagues are an active part of shaping their careers.

Where is the abroad station located?
Depending on the nature of the job, business needs, educational and professional profile of each JMP, as well as their competencies and preferences, the abroad station is determined. In broad terms, this involves a 6-month assignment to one of Bosch's locations. These assignments can take place in Europe, Asia, or America.
How long does the JMP program last, and what happens upon its completion?
The program lasts between 18 and 24 months, and during this time, the JMP trainee receives professional and personal support from a mentor from upper management. Upon completion of the program, they can take on a key position within a team where they can contribute with their accumulated knowledge and experience gained through the JMP program.
Where does the Junior Managers Program take place?
The JMP program takes place in the locations of Cluj and Timișoara.
Thus, the following positions are currently open:
• 1 position in the financial area at Bosch Global Business Services from Timișoara - job details
• 1 position in the commercial area at Bosch Cluj Plant - job details
• 1 position in the technical area at Bosch Cluj Plant - job details
What are these areas referred to as commercial, technical, and financial?
The areas represent the specific field of activity. The commercial area refers to HR, economics, management, logistics, and marketing. The technical area, as the name suggests, is related to engineering, mechanics, production technology, process engineering, industrial engineering, physics, or similar fields. And the financial area takes us into an area related to accounting, processes, economics, finance, and controlling.
Depending on the candidate's studies and field of activity, they can apply to one of these three areas.
What criteria must a person meet to be eligible for the JMP?
We primarily look for young professionals who have already had some professional experience, preferably with international exposure, whether through Erasmus, work abroad, or engagement in a multicultural environment. As for education, a master's degree is mandatory, as well as advanced English language skills. However, we also consider acquired skills such as work ethic, analytical thinking, intercultural competencies, creativity, curiosity, and leadership potential.

How does the selection process for the JMP program take place?
During the selection process, multiple selection stages take place where candidates' professional skills are validated, such as teamwork, individual reasoning, and the ability to consider various functional aspects.
What benefits are included in this program?
In addition to the salary and material benefits, which are similar to the compensation structure for positions offered at Bosch, the Junior Managers Program provides a broad platform for development and flexibility. Employees can experience multiple areas of activity within the company in a relatively short time. This journey offers the opportunity to develop diverse skills on the path to becoming a successful leader.
My colleagues have the opportunity to actively shape their own careers. Another aspect of the JMP program is the multitude of options for networking. Various work instances, events, and projects provide a forum for building a strong network within the Bosch world. After all, in a company of this size and with a global footprint, a strong and diverse network develops.
What else can you tell us about the JMP program?
The Junior Managers Program has been a part of Bosch globally for over 30 years and already has a successful history in Romania. It was launched here in 2014, and nationally we already have 28 program graduates, out of which 8 currently hold leadership positions within Bosch.
We are now in the 12th edition and we are looking for talented young individuals who are at various stages of their professional training and development as future leaders.
